Services
Paving
We offer a wide variety of paving services ranging from resurfacing existing pavement to brand new additions.
Our paving experience ranges from new developments like Clarksville’s newest hospital and medical plaza to resurfacing existing roads like Old State Hwy 79. We also specialize in parking lots of variable sizes, from the smallest tasks to some of the largest projects within our community. Examples include: West Creek Middle School (which is one of our community’s newest schools), the Bridgestone Tire Co. (Metalpha), Tilecera Inc., Lowes, Home Depot, and even Wal-Mart to name a few. Other areas of expertise include existing and new subdivisions including Stone Manor, Oak Arbor, Peachtree, and Willow Brook.
Base
We also provide base preparation to help form a solid underlayment to maximize the life of any new addition.
This is very Important! Without the proper underlayment, you risk the chance of multiple problems, such as poor drainage, premature cracking of pavement, and even caverns being formed under the pavement which can lead to sinkholes. These are just a few of the problems that can arise from having the wrong type of underlayment. Fortunately, we understand exactly what needs to be done to achieve the best underlayment possible for each project to help keep these and other problems from arising years down the road.
Curbs
Additionally, we can also help you with controlling erosion and adding a little bit of esthetics by providing extruded curbs and slip form curbs.
Curbs are designed to channel water along the sides of the road and eventually to a storm drain or storm water runoff. By channeling these thousands of gallons, this simple concept allows water to pass through pipes or along a channel to a safe place of deposit like a creek, river, or maybe even field, where they are much less likely to do any damage to the roadways. Without this simple invention, water would drain along the sides of the road by a ditch and eventually into a culvert. If the volume is great and strong enough, it could start to washout around the openings of culverts, or even worse, undermine the roads that you might drive on.
Hot Mix Asphalt Plants (McAsphalt)
Plant 1
This Herthington and Brewner Batch Plant was put into production in 1985. It is a state certified plant centrally located in Clarksville, Tennessee, which can produce up to 200 tons of hot mix asphalt per hour and is capable of storing 400 tons.
Plant 2
This Fabriweld Drum Plant was renovated in between 2006 and 2007. It is capable of producing up to 400 tons of hot mix per hour and has a storage capacity of 400 tons as well. This state certified plant is also capable of using up to 40% of recycled asphalt to help lower the usage of raw virgin materials which directly saves on petroleum products.
Safety Statement
As we go through life’s busy rush cycles, we often tend to do just that, “rush.” We have to get places faster make sure we don’t miss that next one-of-a-time opportunity that awaits us, but in all of the hustle-and-bustle it’s common for us to sacrifice one of the most important things: “safety!” We might not notice a situation on the side of the road because of the many little distractions life throws at us, or we might think, “oh, those people on the side of the road have got plenty of room.” But what would you think if someone flew by 4 feet from your door at speeds upwards of 70 mph? Probably nothing good… Now just think about all of the hard workers out there, whether that be construction workers, or an just a police officer performing their duties. This is often their life every day. Their vehicles are practically their second home. So please, do them (and yourself) a favor, and pay attention, slow down, and move over when necessary. Who knows? That just might be your friend or family member ahead of you on the side of the road. And if not, they’re definitely someone’s. So drive safe, IT’S THE LAW!
